BSA Corporate Sponsorship Information

The vision of the Boy Scouts of America national corporate alliances initiative is to build long-term, strategic and integrated alliances with corporations willing to support the BSA’s mission, provide an array of resources to help support national initiatives, and assist in helping grassroots programs flourish for local councils and Scouting families.

National sponsors can bring tremendous resources to bear, including cash, but also marketing muscle, employee enthusiasm, networks and other valuable services. The BSA looks to harness resources from each of the following channels, hence the vision of every national partnership striving to be true “five flag alliances.”

Five Flag Alliance

Mission Directed Funds: Funds from rights fees, cause-promotions, product sales, fundraising campaigns, and the like, are used to support mission-critical initiatives, as well as channeled by the national office to local councils to underwrite programs and operational costs, as needed.

In-Kind Resources: Budget-relieving products and services are needed to serve youth in communities nationwide.

Marketing and Advertising Support: The BSA seeks blue-chip advertising opportunities to share its mission, programs and values, thereby empowering councils to increase its membership, manpower and money, ensuring more youth are served in communities nationwide.

Stakeholder Activation: A corporation’s pledge to inform its employees, consumers and supporters about the partnership with and the mission of the BSA. Partners’ willing to encouraging their stakeholders’ active involvement, referrals and donations adds tremendous value for both parties.

Networking: A company’s commitment to provide introductions to corporate partners, vendors, manufacturers or business colleagues to join the BSA’s Five Flag Alliance.
